Fast answer

The official tracker still lists active login, performance, progression, and underwater-backpack problems for the current Early Access build. Match your exact symptom, then verify its live tracker card before trying a workaround.

Do this first

Save-safe order

  1. Confirm the version shown on the main menu.
  2. Match the symptom—not just the platform—to a known issue family.
  3. Back up the save before resets, reinstalls, or recovery experiments.
  4. Open the official tracker for the freshest status and issue ID.

01

High-impact issue families

Current high-consequence families include a login crash, an endless Logging In state, weapons lost after a negative-status death, the Diving the Depths Eelgrass blocker, and underwater backpacks that can pass through terrain.

  • Access blocked: login crash or Logging In loop
  • Progress at risk: missing gear, save state, or backpack
  • Co-op blocked: account link, version mismatch, or latency
  • Quest blocked: Eelgrass scanned before the objective

How status labels work

An issue is called official only when it appears in Obsidian support or the tracker. Community reports can show recurrence, but they do not turn a workaround into an official fix. Checked dates matter because Grounded 2 remains in Early Access.

  • Live or investigating: tracker-backed
  • Future fix: tracker indicates a later change
  • Community report: symptom evidence only
