Obsidian tracks a case where an equipped weapon can disappear after a combat death while a negative status is active. No universal recovery is officially documented, so freeze the state, protect the save, and report the exact sequence.

Save-safe order

  1. Do not repeat the same death with another valuable weapon.
  2. Record the item, upgrade, negative status, location, and host/client role.
  3. Make a separate PC save copy before testing.
  4. Check existing backups without overwriting the only copy.
  5. Report issue P20-43115 with a short reproduction.

Confirmed trigger

The official issue combines three conditions: an equipped weapon, combat death, and an active negative status. That is narrower than every missing-item report and should be preserved in the bug report.
